Payroll Giving 2024
Why set up a payroll giving donation?
One of the best ways to support FMA UK is through payroll giving. With your payroll donation, we can continue to help people with fibromyalgia. Funds are received quickly without the extra burden of having to claim Gift Aid from the government. It also allows us to plan our services and use your donation more efficiently.
How does payroll giving work?
Your donation is taken after NI contributions are paid but before tax is deducted. This means FMA UK gets more from your donation, and it will cost you less from your take-home pay, e.g.
If you pay Income Tax at 20%, then a regular donation of £30 to us through payroll giving would only cost you £24 in take-home pay.
If you pay Income Tax at 40%, then a regular donation of £30 to us through payroll giving would only cost you £18 in take-home pay.
How do I set up a payroll giving donation?
Check with your employer if they take part in payroll giving, then let them know how much you wish Fibromyalgia Action UK to receive from you. You can stop or change the amount you want to give at any time by letting your employer know.
What if my employer is not enrolled in a payroll giving scheme?
If your employer does not take part in payroll giving, ask if they would consider setting this up. They can find more information about this using this link to the Government website.
Is there an alternative way to donate monthly?
If payroll giving is not an option for you at this time, you can easily set up a monthly payment to us by clicking this link to our online donation hub. It won't have the tax benefits of payroll giving, but if you are paying income tax, you may be able to Gift Aid aid your donation by filling in our form here.
