I have been the Benefits Adviser for FMA UK under the umbrella of the CAB since 1994 and in the last 3 years I have taken on the role of answering the e-mails that come into FMA UK from many different sources. I also oversee the benefits and employment part of the forum on the website.
My other activities are as a Christian I am a member of Hillside Methodist Church, Brinscall. Where I sing in the choir (always seated) I am also a Local Preacher (since 1977) and do this sitting down also.
I am married with three children and six grandchildren. I have had Fibromyalgia for x years: Diagnosed with FM in 1993.
Was diagnosed after so many years: It seems I have had it all my life but only became serious in 1989 was initially given wrong diagnosis only after investigation at Hammersmith Hospital was I given the diagnosis of fibromyalgia along with a connective tissue disorder and some muscle damage.
I manage my condition with a positive attitude and treatment from an ortho-molecular nutritionist who I have been seeing for about 15 years and who understands fibromyalgia, I take alternatives that she prescribes or suggests and believe these have helped me considerably. I visit a Chiropractor occasionally as need requires and have had treatment from a podiatrist.
I like reading, word puzzles, computing, caravanning going to the theatre and the Womens Institute.
